RD vs ED. The numbers and statistics

<p>Which would be easier to apply into colleges with? Regular decision or early decision? </p>

<p>It seems to be arguable both ways.</p>

<p>Pro RD: In ED, you are competing with the "best, most confident people" who show an "equal"
interest in the school. In RD, you have "less competition" (there is a "fixed"<br>
percentage of the incoming class that is ED). </p>

<p>Pro ED: With RD, you might still be competing with "ED quality" applicants to other schools.</p>

<p>Which type of application is more "advantageous"?</p>

<p>It's pretty simple: if it's your top choice (aka if you got into every school you applied to, would you go there) do ED. But if it's not...NEVER get yourself entangled in binding programs.</p>
