(re)Applying for First Year from an university?

<p>I'm a polish student and this year I tried to get to an american college. Unfortunately, I did not succeed (probably).
So I plan to go to a polish university and study spanish for a year and during this year apply again to a different pool of american colleges. </p>

<p>My question is: is it possible to apply for a first-year (freshman) admission already being enrolled at an university?
This is would be extremally important as I am trying to get some financial aid, which is nearly impossible for an international transfer.</p>

<p>I have the exact same question! I was rejected this year from a few universities and I want to study a year in the UK but reapply this fall. Is that possible or do admissions offices look at that as something very negative?</p>
