<p>Ive never applied for a student loan but i have taken loans out before.</p>
<p>The UC isnt the lender it is the bank or wherever you are getting the loan from that will pay the UC.</p>
<p>Credit score is important but proof of income is probably more important. Because many of us have no jobs, or very low paying jobs, we will need to have a parent cosign. If you have bad credit it wont be that bad, because you are young and your bad credit will most likely be due to just not having enough credit yet.</p>
<p>Id advise you to apply for the loan this summer, maybe late july ish. </p>
