Re-Submit Application / Essay?? Please Look

So anyways, I'm dumb.

Anyways, I have a 3.3 GPA 2010 SAT. legacy. great extra currics, and great essay. so cus of my gpa id prolly be a major reach.

USC is my top reach school.

Dumb me, i sent in my app before the december deadline. I should have waitrf because now my common application completely owns the application i sent. and my new revampled essay is much, much more powerful than the essay that i sent.

i know its all dumb, and i dont even want to go to usc that badly, i have other schools. but as of now my chances are probably 3%. But I think if I submited my new app / essay it could probably rise to like 20%..

do i have any options?? its cool if i don't which i suspect because im dumb haha. and maybe cus im dumb i dont deserve to go to usc and im sure i will make other fine universities which might be better for me and than usc. but do i have any options???

THANKS!!

hope it helps.

Your original application is probably fine - this is a very stressful time for applicants and you might be overthinking things. That said, here are a few thoughts:

I am not sure you can subit a whole new application - you could send an email to admissions and ask. As you say, the regular application deadline has not passed. Another option might be to FAX in your new essay and just ask them to use it instead of your original and to include an updated activities or awards list (whichever it is that you feel is better on the common app). USC admissions is very flexible and might just agree to put those things in your file.

Good luck!

Thanks!! my old essay was a D compared to my new A+ essay haha.
