I'm taking a few dual-enrollment classes at my high school and I currently have A's in all of them except one B in my college English class. Do you think that I can re-take that class once I get to UCF so I can get an A?

You probably could, but I don’t know why you’d want to waste the time/effort when you could be taking something considerably more interesting.

Sounds like a waste of money to me.

i took a college class in high school, and i guess even if i had fully enrolled at that college after high school my grade wouldnt have counted towards my gpa. so if this is the case at your school, then it would be pointless to retake unless you just wanted to take it to get an A, which is kinda stupid. take advantage of not having to take as many classes when you have a couple really tough ones

IDK about you, but I like having A’s and like having a lot of them, so instead of having a B on my college transcript I’d like to have an A, but I guess most people feel good with just a B

It’s your money, you’re free to waste it. If you’re transfering the credits, 9 times out of 10 the grade won’t transfer anyway so no one will see the B.

Additionally, you’re most likely not going to get a 4.0 in college, so come to grips with a B.

^^^Don’t crush his spirits, you know how fragile the egos of overachievers can be

^^^lololol I <3 community college students you guys are good…(You guys: Lets encourage him to keep a B because we can hardly get a C lol!) Thanks for the responses!

If you’re so awesome why’d you get a B in the first place? Nor do I go to a community college, kid.

Technically I can still get an A for the course, but I’m being realistic. I only have a B because American education does not emphasis the principles of grammar until the college level. Okay okay your not in community college, but next time let’s not get some kind of nerd rage over where you go to college. It’s not WOW bro<3

oh the irony

I wasn’t raging, ‘brah.’

What ever you say buddy.

Oh yg7s7 I think if you got rid of the word “over” from the quote your reply would be more effective!

I think if you didn’t put a space between ‘what’ and ‘ever’ if would’ve been more “effective”!

This thread reminds me of why I’m glad I’m done with high school…

You are correct yg7s7 now you know why I have a B in English.

Lol @ DCHurricane: I’m glad I’m done with high school so I can spend all day posting 2,326 times on college confidential.

Life is about more than grades, but if it really annoys you go for it. Basically your asking a questions that only you can answer for yourself. Is your time more valuable than that grade in English or is that grade really that valuable to you its worth your time and money unless you have parents with money.

*Taking a class you haven’t taken before would be smarter as it would show your a well rounded person and at the same time help your gpa, even though it already is high as it is…

PS: you are contraindicating yourself… Maybe you should of spent less time on here and more time on your English class Good luck trying to get a 4.0 in college lol It really is hard, especially when your taking classes you don’t want to take. Possible, but yet very hard.

Dude… get a life!

When your going into medical school I’m pretty sure life is all about grades (and a little bit of luck), but thanks for the input!

Lol @ spazman21: Let me tell this guy to get a life because I obviously have one by posting my thoughts on college confidential.

If “your” going to use the wrong words on your med school application, you might as well also file an application to be the Assistant Shift Supervisor at the nearest Wendy’s.

And saying someone has no life because he posts on CC is a bit of a bad argument, because you also post on CC. Sort of like the “it takes one to know one” retort.
