@thesportsman24 I woke up at 530 and couldnt sleep, then had a really odd admissions-related dream too

Okay, I’m about to take a physics final and might not be out until after decisions are released (long final, I know).

Know that you are all fabulous and will live a wonderful life. Take a deep breath and know that everything will work out in the long run. Stanford is NOT the end all be all and this decision does NOT define your worth as a student, academic, or person. Breathe in, breathe out. Breathe in, breathe out. Rinse and repeat.

If things don’t go the way you hope, remember that chocolate and cake (and especially chocolate cake) will always be there for you…

A 4 hour final? That’s rough. And similarly, I’ve come to accept whichever way it goes. I just want to know, but the actual decision is bothering me less.

You guys are all winners

Thank you, thank you, thank you @Bulldog2017! Having you on this thread has been unbelievably helpful.

I feel like we all need a group hug…too much? I’m a hugger.

Good luck to all of you from a Cornell ED’er!! I hope you guys have something to celebrate this weekend.

4 hours! I need something to take up the next 4 hours of my time

Deep breaths guys, think about it this way our lives could be a whole lot worse. I’m thankful that I don’t have a terminal illness, that my family is happy and healthy, that I have friends to support me. I second the group hug (I’m huggy too). We’re all in this together!

Has anyone seen The Aviator? I’m looking for a movie to watch.

I’ve decided to pass the next 2:30 by watching The Aviator and eating chicken salad.

I’m working on my VEX competition robot until 3:00 when I’ll have to head to wrestling practice. Practice will go until 5:30 or so and I’m planning to turn my phone off. Then when I get home I’ll check it on my MacBook.

Are the admissions packets mailed out today as well, or do they go out at a later time?

Later, probably.

My friends and I were counting down the hours today. If I want to be completely realistic with myself, I’m going to be rejected for mediocre stats and not having anything particularly phenomenal about myself. But heeeeeey let’s see what happens.

@Aegise I completely feel you. I was/am the same way, lets hope for the best!

Every time I get a new email I get a mini heart attack… What am I going to do for the next hour and 47 minutes??

If you are freaking out about next hour and something, try to calm down by listening to:

Good luck, my son, and good luck everyone on this list!!!

Let’s start the count down.

100min

Stanford is my son’s first choice. He has a 4.0 unweighted GPA, 36 ACT, and is 1 out of 100. Our school doesn’t offer AP classes, and has limited opportunities for students to earn recognition outside NHS. He excels in music, though, and submitted the arts supplement. No one from our school has ever gotten in. Any words of wisdom?
