REA Question

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>So I was wondering if I should do REA or not.</p>

<p>Stanford is my first choice school, but I dont take my Physics and Math 2 SAT Subject Tests until November 5th.</p>

<p>So should I apply for REA without my Subject Test scores or wait until I take the tests to apply? I have the tests listed with the score blank like the Application said to do...</p>

<p>REA: Can I just send my scores on November 24th when they are released? Should I email Stanford that I would be doing this?</p>

<p>Info about me:</p>

<p>I have already sent in my SAT I scores: 2060
I have a 4.00 weighted GPA and am in 5 AP classes (Gov, Psych, Phys, Calc, Lit)
I got a 4 on both AP tests I took last year, AP US History and AP Language/Comp
I have finished my supplement and am finishing up my Common App Essay.
I am creating a small cyclotron particle accelerator with my friend for the science fair.
I created the plastic recycling program in my school.
I won superiors at States in Orchestra, 3 years in a row.
Other Random Stuff. Perfect score on state reading standardized test. Red Cross/CPR/CERT/Greenpeace & WWF Donor. Vegan, organic gardener. I love the environment and physics. (I heard stanford has vegan food options and is the number one Environmental Engineering school) I make art and music and tutor my home-schooled little brother.
Have never taken the ACT and never plan on taking it.</p>

<p>P.S. Do the school forms have to be complete before the REA deadline? Both of my recommendations will be done by November 1st, but when does my school report have to be sent in? My guidance counselor had surgery and hasnt been in for 5 weeks (I had know idea.)</p>

<p>I know english, spanish, and russian and am learning farsi. I sprint in track and play guitar, bass, and keyboard. Tesla and MLK Jr. are my heros.</p>

<p>You should do RD, in my opinion.</p>

<p>I agree. Stanford says that 2 subject tests are “recommended”, which kind of means if you do not take them and score well, you will be disadvantaged slightly. However, keep in mind that these admission processes are very unpredictable. For example, a perfect SAT scorer can be rejected while a low scoring SAT tester can be accepted.</p>
