Reach heavy =/

Pomona is a great school, with superb FA, but I doubt that you have the stats for admission. NOT coming from CA is a plus, but Hispanic diversity is probably something they have covered.

There is absolutely no reason why a person with your record should consider CC for two years when U Conn–a perfectly decent state flagship–is well within your grasp.

Thanks for the link, took a look at it =)

And haha, oh I know, but too far away anyway. I’ll tell my friend about it though, I know she’s only looking at schools in CA =P

I applied EA to UCONN since I really did like it. A little too big, and not the best dorms, but you can’t get everything you want xD

Just thought I’d write that I updated my final list, thank you all once again for the advice =)

Ursinus (got my first acceptance today =D)
UCONN
Fairfield
BC
Colgate
Harvard
Columbia////
(Added Ones)
Wesleyan
Holy Cross
Trinity
Fordham////
(Took Out)
Suffolk
Syracuse

I decided having a safety I wouldn’t go to would be pointless (Suffolk), and Syracuse is too far away when I have UCONN which I’m perfectly content with nearby =P

Since financial aid is an important factor, I also decided to add Trinity and Holy Cross even though they’re smaller than I usually suspected I’d be looking at. Wesleyan is my ultimate reach (I know…even though I have enough of those, I can’t help it). And Fordham, b/c something tells me to apply there, can’t pinpoint exactly why though, gut feeling?

I really like your list!

With an acceptance from Ursinus in hand, I think your list with reach schools that are kind in the FA looks great.

I’d expect with URM and your GPA for Ursinus to give you merit.

Haha thanks!

It feels much more comforting knowing that I’m applying to so many reaches now that I have an acceptance (and one coming from UCONN hopefully). It’s easier to take the risk haha.

And hope so =)

Financial Aid Rating: 84

Freshman receiving any financial aid: 92%

Undergraduates receiving any financial aid: 91%

Average Percent of Need Met: 80%

Average Total Financial Aid Package: $25,821

Average Freshman Total Need-Based Gift Aid: $22,007

Average Undergraduate Total Need-Based Gift Aid: $21,203

Average Need-Based Loan: $4,829

Average amount of loan debt per graduate: $21,171

Undergraduates who have borrowed through any loan program: 75%

Ursinus may not come through with a very good package for you, so you might want to keep that in mind.

I’d say NYU would be the capstone of your “Reach” list.
