What state do you live in? What do you plan on studying? This could affect some of the decisions. I would say that you could use a few safety schools just to be sure-you never know what can happen in college admissions. If you live in NY, I would suggest looking at stony brook (this would be a match), Buffalo(safety), Albany(safety) and Geneseo (match).

Ya i live in New York. I dont really know what i will study yet. Some of my safety schools are Baruch College, Michigan State, Syracuse, Hobart, and SUNY New Paltz

To be blunt, don’t apply to NYU or Berkeley - the latter especially because it is a completely separate application from the common app. You will only be wasting your time applying, as both schools (and especially Berkeley) really value GPA. It is HIGHLY unlikely that you’ll get in. The rest are all fine to apply to.

I have to say that Berkeley is beyond a reach. My son applied to it as a reach, and was rejected. His stats were a little higher than yours, and we knew his chances were slim. I’d suggest looking at another UC, if money isn’t a consideration. Figure out what your UC-weighted GPA is - they have a unique system. If it’s higher than your own school’s, then UCSD or Davis might be possible (especially if your ACT and second set of SATs are stronger). My son had only an unweighted 3.3-3.4, but his UC GPA was close to a 4.0. He got into Davis and UCSD. I think that Berkeley’s median UC-weighted GPA is over 4.1, and their median SATs were over 2100. You can check their incoming class profiles on the UC website. Your stats should be competitive for UC Santa Cruz.
