Another good general LAC with a strong program in English and Creative Writing is Carleton, in Minnesota. It's a little isolated, but a great school, and easier to get in to than Williams or Amherst.

Cool..I'll look into it.

Oberlin is one of the strongest LACs in the country for English and Creative Writing. And has a world-class conservatory of music. And an excellent record for law school placement. Sounds like an excellent fit for you.

Thanks, any more suggestions?

for safeties, look at Bennington, Bard, and Sarah Lawrence.

Chicago has a great English program and will place you very well if you're looking toward law school. You'll also have access to the Chicago economics department, which has had a large influence over the practice of law over the law half century (e.g., the law and economics movement).

Definetely look at all the top English programs around...Yale, Brown, Duke, Dartmouth, Columbia Williams Amherst...all could be good places but are reaches

Yeah, I'm definitely going to apply to those schools as "reaches"...any matches? I think I have some pretty good safeties...
