Again, thanks for your input!

well, maybe it would work better if you gave us an idea of a) size of college b) location of college c) academic inclination, as in major.

I think you are a good candidate for many tier 1 schools, but I need more info.

yeah sorry…

-I’m open to most schools, just not too small (Williams is too small for me, for example)
-I will go most places (not Hawaii or Alaska, not any extremely rural states like Iowa)
-I’m looking to be an engineer (biomedical, specifically)

-Johns Hopkins-High Match
-Olin-Reach
-University of Delaware Honors-Safety (this school has an excellent engineering program with recruitment for Gore and duPont)
-MIT-High Reach

If I got my SAT scores up to like 2250 do you think that would make a difference? Or am I past that certain point where colleges don’t really care (i.e. 2390 vs. 2400 wouldn’t matter)

Yes, it would undoubtedly make a difference. 2250+ would be excellent. While your scores do put you in the mid 50% for top schools, being on upper end is always better.

what do you think my chances are at schools like duke, upenn, umich, johns hopkins, washu, cornell, and columbia?

also, what does it mean when people say “bump” in their threads?

Also, I have legacy at UMich and Cornell (more extensively at UMich)
