So, the person with the lofted bed and a closet with no drawers should bring something to put socks/shorts and other non-hangables? Maybe one of those stacked drawer things for one side of the closet? So we buy something that fits, I can guess how tall based on bed height, but how deep is the closet? Or maybe not to fit inside the closet, but just on the floor...

Can people who live in doubles loft each bed to the level of those single-loft beds in the triple rooms? If so, is it possible to easily do the lofting without the assistance of the UCLA movers, thus saving money?

I have no idea why you would want to do this. UCLA will not assist you in movingi the beds, not even for a fee. Plus, it'd be difficult to acquire strong and stable blocks to support the bed at that height. The highest you can raise the bed is probably by a few feet, which is sufficient for common needs (if you want to place something underneath).

Yes. The depth of the closet is about that of the desk. Someone can give you exact measurements.

do you guys have any suggestions for a tv stand/shelving unit combo thing to use in a res hall triple? i'm trying to find a cheap one that will fit a 32 inch flatscreen tv and wont be that huge, anyone know a good place to look?

Most people place their TV's on their dressers.

they move the dressers over by the window or is it there to begin with?

res hall people dont have dressers....

Right thanks! I was thinking of plazas... :o [/de neve]

o lol ok, so i guess the question still stands, anyone know of any good shelving/tv stand unit or a good place to buy from? i'm looking for something cheap that could hold a 32 inch flatscreen tv

I'm thinking of buying a mini fridge, so, roughly how much floor space is there in a res hall triple, and how much room is there under the desk (rough height and width)?

Oh, and are the microwaves on the 1st floor of Dykstra?

should i consider bringing my high school ap stuff of the subjects i'll take nxt yr (to review) and perhaps store them in the small bookshelf on my provided desk?

includes: notes, sample problems, labs, binders, (SPARKNOTES/CLIFFNOTES--w/e like some1 said b4 i can get those online.

what about my fav biology book campbell 5th ed?

No. Don't bring your high school things. They're useless here. You'll have ample opportunity to review and if in your desperation you need to have those works of summary, go to the library or bookstore or even online to obtain your precious review materials.

Screw the damned Campbell's book. You'll be busy enough doing crap for your classes and if you must find references from the Campbell's, head to the library and you will most likely find its edition!

If you feel you absolutely need the texts, why don't you just bring them?

although, i have to say
my physics professor copied problems word for word from my hs text for the midterms.

which professor was that ;D?

First floor dykstra is closed, you'd probably be going to De Neve for that stuff.

matthew malkan, but he probably WON'T ever teach a lower div physics class again. he's a pretentious *******

do suite bathrooms have room for cubicles that look like this:

It's kinda big dwm. 36" by 36"? I think you should get something smaller.
