Read my essay please? Perhaps an out-of-ordinary one…

I wrote is for Common Application topic #1, "Some students have a background or story that is so central to their identity that they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story."

I regard it as an out-of-ordinary one; many other people think so. I have edited it, but I need more advice—especially on how to trim it down. (The word limit is 650 and my essay goes beyond it.)

I'll send it to you via a private message if you want to read it… Any kind of help/advice/comment/feedback is highly appreciated!

I’ll read it! But just so you know you can’t PM unless you have 15 posts. If you want I can PM you my email.

^ Thank you Careful. That would be very kind of you if you PM me your email…

Thanks, but it seems that the forum blocks email address and I can only see a couple of ***'s in your PM… (Is there any way to get through it?)

Did mine work? I think it’ll get through if you put spaces in the email address.

^ Yes it works. Thanks very much, halcyonheather.

(I didn’t know that you couldn’t send PMs until you got 15 posts…)
