Read my short note to Harvard

To email additions to the admissions file simply type Your Name [initials plus surname]: Addition to Admissions file in the subject and put the addition in the body of the email... I don't think they accept attachments due to viruses etc. This is what my interviewer told me when I asked him, and furthermore he said it's never too late to submit additional info.

you already got a like letter (see http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?p=1880369#post1880369); don't bother to send the music, for you will get in for sure.

"President of Loljk Club"

He was joking.

Maybe it depends on your area, but here, practically the only people to get 1s are those who win and go to State.

Once you get a 1, you go to state. It isn't difficult to do.

i wouldn't send anything. It's no big deal. Ive been ranked superior as well several times, and its no national accomplishment. sorry. :(

I know it's not very big, but I haven't been playing piano for very long, so I considered it an accomplishment to get a 1 after one year of play, without a teacher, when another student got a 2 after eight years with a teacher that charges 45/hr. Makes me feel special.

Eh, in TX you get to state by making division 1 with a memorized solo--sorry, but it's not that hard to do. I memorized my bassoon solo in one night and made state. If you make TMEA All-State Band/Orchestra/Choir or something, you should tell them that.

I think it should make you feel special, but Harvard won't care. You might as well send it though, who knows, I just don't tihnk it will change anything. good luck!

State is not particularly impressive at Solo and Ensemble for music at least from my experience. At districts nearly everyone receives either a I or a II. Anyone with a I advances to state and it is at least 50%.
