Read your rejection letters..

Yes, it does mean what you’ve stated above. Also, in your previous posts jazfizzle10, you said that you friend got an 1800 and certain scores on her subjects, and then in your recent posts you said YOU got it. What’s the truth? You?? Don’t try to cover it up by putting your friend’s name.

Wait, so that last bit of info was only for legacies? I thought it was for all applicants. Hmm, interesting.

Which post is that alumuniofusc?

Haha! alumniofusc, there are - literally - millions of people who take the SATs - I do not find it unbelieveable that more than one person received similar scores.

(Just a note - that is something of a negative post for a first post, alumniofusc. I hope you didn’t create a screen name today just to post something negative. The adults on the USC forum - your profile says you are 49 - generally try to support and inform the kids.)

I am a legacy and I got that in my rejection letter. I Thought everyone did. Hmmmmm.

I’m going to hopefully transfer after two semesters…that would be nice!

I know several students in past years who were asked to meet with USC admissions in June to discuss transferring in 2-3 semesters. They were all able to transfer successfully and love being at USC now. I don’t know if only legacy kids get this in their admission decision letters although the kids I know were all legacy.

That’s good to hear! I really want to go to USC. Which college did they attend before they transferred to USC?

jazfizzle

I got a 700 on lit, 650 on us history, and 630 in math 2. Are those good scores for UC’s?

Don’t worry, you’lll transfer out to a great college university.
I’m applyin to a UC, but my friend from elementary school really wants to go to UCSB. Her GPA is 3.5 weighted, 1800 sats, 630, 650, 700 on sat 2s (math 2, lit, and history) and has a bunch of EC’s. she is very smart but she had major health problems during her sophomore year. she wrote about it in her essay too.
what do you think her chances are?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/824603-do-you-think-i-have-chance-i-will-chance-back.html

I never posted my stats online, but my friend did have access to my account.

Be honest with yourself. I’d hate to think you are insecure of who you really are.

JazFizzle10- They went to all different schools- Davis, University of Arizona, Community College.

Was it possible for them to transfer after a year?

Yes, they all attend USC now and are very happy! Lots of kids transfer to USC.

I have parents who went to USC and I was rejected and I had that note at the end of my letter. Is there anyone who had the “transfer help” note who wasn’t a legacy? About 1/5 of the student population is transfers. Do these “special” transfer counselors really help?

“special” transfer counselors ??

From what I’ve heard, I think if you maintain a good GPA at any college, you’re set.

i have legacy at usc and last year i was rejected and had the same opportunity as well. i ended up going and they help you set up classes to take at you school and how to transfer. it was pretty helpful and you get personal interaction with an admission counselor. so i would highly recommend it. i am waiting to hear back about being accepted this year and i will be a sophomore. they told me to get a 3.6 and i would be accepted with a “high degree of confidence.”

@tibibbs since you are a transfer student, how hard was you freshmen year schedule? what requirements are needed to transfer to usc after one year in college?

tbibbs - what college are you transferring from?
