I know this is a pretty cliche thread, but...
Basically my February ACT was a 26 reading (29 composite) and this April I had a 23 on reading (31 composite). I know I can do so much better, and my scores will skyrocket if I can bring up my reading section a few points. To be honest, I'd be happy sitting around at the high 20s. The last opportunity (for me, at least) to take the ACT is this Wednesday (4/23), and I'm wondering how I can really crack down on my reading score.

I have one practice test from the red book I plan on using the day before the test, a Kaplan book, and a PR book. Should I try tests online, or does anyone have any great strategies? Advice would be awesome and much appreciated.

Practice, practice, practice!

I’m in the same boat as you; reading absolutely kills my composite. I got my score back from the April national test date today, and I got a 30 composite. But my reading was 23, while English and math were 34 and science was 27. Personally, I’m pretty mad since no matter how much I practice the reading I don’t get any better.

Basically, do every practice test you can. That’s the best way to get better, since you’ll see more of the questions.

I am in same boat… I am taking the test April 23, and reading kills my practice test scores. I would make a 24, then 31, then back to like a 27. It jumps all per the place! I’ve taken 8 practice tests and I still haven’t been able to keep it consistent. I guess more practice?

But is there a thread for answers for Wednesday?
