Reading between the lines

Hello,

Looking at the “What Penn Looks For” page, it indicated that Wharton looks for strong business related extra curriculars. However, my general understanding is that a college generally is not concerned with the particular activity one is interested in, only the depth to which that student pursues that activity.

Personally, I think my interest in politics is most distinguishing, and my business/econ related activities will either blend in or be overshadowing.

How should one go about crafting an application to Wharton? Should they place emphasis on what sets them apart from the crowd or their business related activities to demonstrate their interest?

Check out PPI (https://publicpolicy.wharton.upenn.edu/students/). You can write about how Wharton provides an opportunity to pursue your passions in both politics and business.

@WhartonPenn2017 thank you!
