Assuming there is an average curve, how many questions can I miss to get 700+?

on average
about 3 questions wrong breaks an 800
about 9 questions wrong gets you a 700
about 15 questions wrong gets you a 650

this is according to http://www.erikthered.com/tutor/SAT-Released-Test-Curves.pdf

my experiences

respectively may and november 2009
23 wrong, 1 omitted = 43/67 raw = 540 (580)
14 wrong, 1 omitted = 52/67 raw = 620 (650)

…which are much lower than the corresponding scores on the website above (in parentheses). this probably means that there were more omitted answers and fewer incorrect answers factored into the pertinent statistics

so if you were to get 9 questions wrong, you would probably not get a 700 even though it is a 58/67 raw. you would probably get 700 if you got something like 6 questions wrong and 3 omitted

Lol on one test I missed 13 and omitted 1 and got a 620.

i edited my post, might make more sense
