When talking to a Princeton rep, I learned that Princeton does not have regional readers; rather, their admissions officers read applications from all over the world. Does this imply that locale is not an issue in admissions?

This would be a mighty fine revelation because (1) I'm from the North Shore of Illinois where plenty of people apply to Princeton and (2) two twins from my school with an alumnus father who sends fat checks to Princeton were accepted ED.

I don't really believe that. I think I have a regional rep because that's who visited my school and who my gc told me to send my deferral letter to.

yeah, the rep that came here said the same thing- there are no regional reps, and that the people who visit ur area are just regular admissions officers who could be sent anywhere.

we have a different rep sent to arizona each year. this year it was some girl that graduated in 2004 while the year before was some dude that graduated in 2002 and then the year before the person was like in their 30s so i dunno =P ive never seen the same rep in arizona. ive definitely gone to all the princeton meetings for the past 4 years hahahaha

hmmm, i sent all this stuff to my regional rep. I think he knows me. I'm not sure if he likes me or not, but he always ends his notes in "warmest regards." he seems like a nice guy.
