On the verbal section, I really want to raise my score. I have done the eight sections in the collegeboard book(some of them twice), but I need to use another book. I have heard that princeton review is too easy and not comparable to the real test. Anyone know of prep books that are similar in difficulty to collegeboard? thanks!

Maybe you should check into the college board online course...I don't know anything about it though, except that they have one. But maybe someone else here does.

When I studied for the SATs, I found Barron's to be the most comprehensive but a little overwhelming, Cliffnote still thorough but easier to get through, Kaplan very superficial, and Princeton Review a good balance.

I'm not sure what the books on the Reading Section are like, but I'd recommend sitting down in the book store one day to check them all out and see what you like.

Barron's is good becasue it alwaqys overprepares you, for every AP book and for the SAT I and IIs. Then when you take the real deal, it will seem easier.

I agree with Golden Bear. Barron's is vastly superior to any other guide I have ever used. Their books for SAT Subject Tests and APs are extremely good, as they come with an interactive CD great for quizzing.

Nah I hated Barrons, especially for history. They gave too much info that wasn't even on the tests. As long as you learned the princeton review stuff you could ace the exam.

None. There are no good books other than CB.
