So I got a 31 composite with math 34 and English 34 with science 30 and reading 25. Reading has been a problem. Any suggestions from you guys?

I’ve gotten a 32 & 31 on the reading section from the two times I’ve taken the test.

My best recommendation would be to read quickly. I know that seems like obvious advice but it’s not. What I mean is that you should read the passage over quickly (almost as if you were skimming, take no more than 1 minute or so)one time and then go to the questions, answer any you can easily answer and then go question searching for the specific ones by picking out specific details in the reading. Do not spend more than 8 minutes on a passage, if you are… move on to the next one.

When it comes to defining vocabulary: If you know the word pretend like you do not know the word and only use context clues.

Do not waste time on 1 or 2 questions you can’t find, move on. Go back to them if you have time, it’s important that you finish at least 30 questions with around 5 minutes to spare, then you can go and check back the ones you skipped.

I think the best piece of advice is don’t get hung up on one or two questions, don’t get hung up on a particular passage. Power through them, take around 7 minutes on each if possible and then go back!

Good luck and if you want any more specific advice let me know :)
