Reading Skills for the College Bound class?

Today I talked with guidance and she suggest some semester classes that can go with TOK for the first semester of my junior year (IB Program). One of them is this new class called Reading Skills for the College Bound and it's supposed to help you with reading comprehension and SAT. Also, the class is concerned with how to choose the right college. The thing is this year as a sophomore I have 8 classes with no study hall and sometimes it has been too much. I am so jealous of people with study halls. I was planning to have a study hall first semester next year and then TOK second one. But should I go with the Reading class? Sounds helpful, doesn't it? Any suggestions? Anyone been in any classes like that?

Oh please, come one...I need like one person to tell me to do it or not so I can make the final decision...

if you can do all that stuff on your own then don't do it, it also depends on your school, a class like that in my school wouldn't have been helpful at all but your school is probably different

Sounds useful to me, if you can handle it, I say go for it!

I don't know...Reading at our school is a remedial at our school. Plus, I think it would be a wasted time slot in your schedule, because more than likely, it would require you to read books, and if you don't have this time you speak of...then it is a bad idea. Take the study hall! You'll have enough credits. Take a class you WANNA take though. If that be the Reading class...go for it! ;-)

Yeah, sometimes I really do not have a lot of time of myself even and unfortunetly because of that I spend less and less time reading. I am thinking that this class can actually help me balance that maybe? As of right now, I am almost certain that I am going to take it but I have a couple of more days to think about it.
