Readmission

Are students applying for readmission considered as Freshman, Returning, or Transfer students?

Would attending a Community College (earning credits towards major) be hurtful or beneficial to readmission chances?

In terms of financial aid consideration, how is it? How is Cal Grant awards affected by the initial withdrawal?

Note: I tried calling my college's Financial Office a few times with these questions. I never get a clear answer, except to wait for the Registrar to finish processing the withdrawal and for their office to calculate what I still owe. Not even the general questions about Cal grant awards are answered. D: I don't know what to do. It's almost been 30 days and I still receive emails from my would've-been professors and Housing sent me an email of current charges. I took out subsidized and Perkins loans as well that I need to pay back ASAP before they charge me (Financial Aid Office had no CLUE if I needed to pay the loans back or wait until the 30 days). >w< Any advice appreciated

What do they mean by "complete your degree in the equivalent of 12 quarters, including transfer credits? (A maximum of 15 quarters to complete a UCSC degree is allowed with approval from your college)."

Would my expected graduation be 2014 or 2015?
