I've been having a really difficult time in college so far. I started out my freshmen year at a great and reputable school but decided to leave after a semester after feeling that I wasn't adjusting well and wanting to be closer to a girl. So I went to an instate college but the school in general paled in comparison academically and so I tried to get readmitted into my first college, now knowing a lot more than I did before. But while I was readmitted they refused to give me back a 10,000 dollar scholarship and now I'm stuck. I really feel now that I've screwed up my entire life and now I don't know what to do anymore. I did really well in high school and have always dreamed of going to a great college but it doesn't feel that way now. Is there anything else I can do? Should I attempt to transfer somewhere else after this next semester?

Transfer after this semester? How will you afford this semester?

It isnt unusual to lose a scholarship if you leave, go to school elsewhere, and then try to come back. You went to school elsewhere.

You will have to figure out where you can afford to go to school. How much will your parents pay?

The fact that you did well in high school means little at this point. Transfers rarely get good aid.

What is your major? What was the instate school?
