"Ready for Decision"

My application status in the student center just changed from “application received” to “Ready for Decision…” Does this mean they are close? I don’t see that in the application status definitions. Is it the same as Ready for Review? Anyone know?

@bunnyhugg My status has changed to “Ready for Decision” as well. I would assume it’s exactly what it sounds like, they’ve reviewed the application and are now deciding on whether to admit or not. I believe this is the first year they’ve given this status. Hopefully we’ll hear soon!

I’m curious, are you guys in the local area for CPP? My status also changed, and I wonder if this is only for the local area applicants or for everyone.

@UnimodalMan‌ No, I am not. Perhaps they did it for apps with higher stats? Maybe they did do if for everyone. It just seems odd that they would have a new status and wouldn’t add it to their definitions page.

I think they put “ready for decision” for everyone. Mine changed to that either last night or the night before, I’m a local criteria student. But there have been others outside the local index who got the same message so I’m guessing everyone got it.
It’s not on the list here (https://ehelp.wiki.csupomona.edu/BroncoDirect:_Student_and_Applicant_Help_-_Application_Status_Help</a>) because it’s outdated. One of the answers says something about 2005, so it’s old.
They did, however, use that terminology of “ready for decision” last year, cause I saw someone on CPP’s FB page say “mine says ready for decision and it’s been a month”
So I guess just keep checking broncodirect. I’m super nervous

You might be right. A few of my friends have the status as well. I spoke with someone in admissions today and they were extremely vague as to the meaning of the status. All they said was “keep checking your broncodirect because we may ask you for your transcript soon.” I met with an admissions counselor earlier this year and he gave me his business card so I sent an e-mail today asking about the status. I’ll post something when I hear back.

Mine says that too but a friend of mine still has the “application received” status

cool thanks, AetherGreen. am interested to hear! I spoke with CPP last week about something and they said “well keep checking broncodirect” so I’m guessing that’s their standard answer

also, when did you guys apply? I thought CPP had rolling admission. I applied October 22nd.

I applied on the last couple days before the CSU app closed and also got the “ready for decision” for my application…
Hope the result will come out soon!

@gedelaine It might be their standard answer simply because the people we speak to don’t really know? I don’t know, either way I will let everyone know as soon as I hear. I applied submitted November 5th? I think. I had one friend who didn’t have the “Ready for Decision” status and he applied on the last week of November.

okay cool.
Also, wrf is with the freshman FAQ. It says students in the local criteria find out admission status from nov-dec?? I called cal poly and they denied that but it’s on their website (http://www.cpp.edu/~admissions/undergraduate/freshman/freshmen-faq.shtml#q12</a>) see question #12.
But my friend from high school started at CPP in sep 2013 and he wasn’t notified until April.

No I am in northern CA.

I applied October 2nd… still waiting…

Did anyone get a “Welcome” letter from their department? I did. I am not a freshman, I am a transfer. It clearly states it is NOT an admission, but just curious if anyone else got a welcome letter. Thanks

I have a “ready for decision” status too. I think they must’ve very recently added it. I also received an email today inviting me to their Honors College although it says it doesn’t mean I’m admitted. I wonder if we might hear earlier this year? I had the impression that CPP gave decisions later than a lot of other schools like March/April.

I didn’t get a welcome letter or honours letter, which are supposed to be “good signs” according to someone in another CPP thread. She said her kids recieved those letters and were accepted the 3rd week of January. So keep a look out. I’m freaking out haha

I got a welcome letter from my department too! Here’s hoping this is a good sign like you say!

@bunnyhugger What department did you receive a letter from? I received a letter from the College of Agriculture. I wish I knew if everyone receives a letter but thank you for responding.

Mine is College of Agriculture, too, @julben! I am applying as an Animal Health Science/Vet Tech major.
