Hello.
I have a bit of a urgent and rather confusing problem. I had recieved my decline letter for the summer seminar in late April, which was dissappointing but had moved on to continue my admissons process. But suddenly, today I recieved an email congradulation me on my acceptance into the summer seminar, and as scheduled for session 2. Now I'm a bit doubtful about this email, because first of all, it's 5 days before my supposedly scheduled session, and second, I can't seem to pay online through the site they provided me because it says my candidate information doesn't match.

Do you guys have any advice on how I should tackle this matter? I thought I might as well ask here on this forum along with my BGO and admissons office(who doesn't seem to be answering right now). I need act quick, but before I jump into all the stuff, I want to make sure its a legitimate acceptance and not a fluke. Thank you and I hope to settle this all out.

Well I cannot tell you if the email is absolutely legitimate. However, when I was at summer seminar, I did know a lot of people who were denied to go to seminar, but then was accepted like a few days to a week before it. It was due to some of the original people that were accepted that decided that they didn’t, or could not attend, which opened up some slots so that the academy could except some of the people that they denied. However, as far as the paying problem, you should probably contact the admissions office directly by calling them. Their phone number can be found on the naval academy webpage at <www.usna.edu>. Well I hope that everything works out for you. Summer Seminar was a really great experience.</www.usna.edu>
