I have been practicing with several different ACT Workbooks over the summer and I've been getting a consistent overall score of 30. I was wondering what kind of score I should be expecting to receive on the real ACT? Is there a difference at all, or should I be assuming that I'll get around the similar scores I've been getting with the practice exams? Thank you in advance!

You’ll probably get around a 30 on your real test. The practice tests aren’t any harder, so your score will most likely be the same. If you’re not a very good test taker and easily get nervous on standardized tests, it is possible for it to drop a little. However, it could also increase a bit since most people are more alert on real tests than on practice tests. In conclusion, except it to be a 30, but it’s also possible for it to fluctuate a bit. Good luck!

The general range you should have is anywhere from a 28-32 if you find yourself consistently getting 30s. But it also depends on what grade you’re in and when you take the test. If you take the test next year, you can expect anywhere from a 1 to 4 point jump.

It depends on what book’s your using if it’s PR 1296 or Barron’s expect getting several points higher. If it’s the red book (real ACT) or PR cracking the act expect the same score or a few points higher or lower 28-32 range. Good luck
Also if you were not using PR cracking act and the real act you should because there fairly accurate.

Thank you everyone! I’m a little nervous that I won’t get my goal score (30) on the test. I’ve been using PR and The real ACT book for practice so I hope that the scores I get on there will be similar to what I get on the real test! It’s just a lot of pressure for me, because I’ve been wanting to get a ‘good’ score for so long! Again, thank you for the reassurance. Let’s hope I get at least a 29!
