I am schedule to graduate in three more semesters and I do not know which class to take. I am willing to spend hours studying and doing homework. Although I am currently enroll for Math 113, I have read that Math 104 will be a better transitions since it deals with numbers while abstract algebra deals with abstract objects. If I take Math 104, I will have Holtz. My current schedule is
Math 110
Math 113/Math 104
Stats 134
Stats 133
Thanks.

Good luck. Math 110 is very strait forward and a good intro into proofs. I heard 113 is easy from some people and very hard from others. Math 104 has the reputation as the hardest of core requirements. I took stat 134 last semester and it was one tough class. I’m taking 104 this semester. I would suggest to consider 128a instead of 104 or 113 because it is more computational. Either way you are in for one hell of a semester.
