real bomb threat at school today...

there was a bomb threat during first period. so we had to lock the doors of our classes and nobody could get out and we werent even allowed to peak out the window. 1st period is from 8 to 9 but we ended up staying in first period an extra hour and a half. cuz we couldnt get out. kids in my class were calling their friends to ask what happened and suppposedly what happened is that there was a suspicious package in the parking lot. and so the principal called the swat team and the cops and the fire department and the bomb squad. it was unbelievable! and from what i heard there was a robot that picked up the package then put it under a durable container and then blew it up. i dont know if it was really a bomb though. even more... there was an intruder on campus. so the front parking lot was blocked off. (i heard this from people who had no first period and thus were coming to school at 9:00 and saw the whole thing before they were transported to the theater). right now i am looking for articles on the internet that talk about this event at school today.

whoaa, that's intense. We once had an anthrax scare at my school. somebody put a bag of white powder in the headmaster's desk with a threatening letter that said a lot of stuff and implied that the powder was anthrax. this was a while ago. the police came and they tested the powder and it was something stupid like flour, or cleaning stuff. they also fingerprinted the bag. we couldnt leave the gym all day. it was crazy.

side note: so where in the 60's are you? 64? 5?

^wow guys those are both intense stories lol...the worst my school's ever seen was some creepy stalker dude following girls walking home after school...haha it ended up just being a guy who's g/f was mad at him and he was trying to get her back  :D
lol

methinks the who's is more intense than mine. but your stalker tale blows both of ours way outta the water!

rachel. wow. did they find out who did it? or was it a senior prank? still havent found an article about the incident today....maybe they want to keep it confidential....what was funny was how some kids after they were let out of class called their parents to excuse them from school for that day "because they were "traumatized" by this event". bs. yeah right.
'69 baby!!

competes
There was a gunman on campus last year. He hid in the back of the firetruck out looking for him.
I didn't go to the school yet, but I sat at home, watched TV and laughed because people I knew were being interviewed...

im def gonna place in a bombthreat.thats awesome

you might ask why the principal asked us to stay in our classrooms during a bomb threat...wouldnt it be more logical to get as far away from the building as possible. it was because of the intruder...so bascially we were in double jeopardy....if we went outside we had a chance of being harmed by the intruder...if we stayed inside (which we did) we could have died. :)

The only scare (and it was not bad, just a junior prank) was when someone decided to take a bundle of firecrackers (a few cherry bombs, and a couple of very large sticks) and detonate them in the central courtyard, which is enclosed by 30 feet of brick wall on each side. Naturally, it was quite loud.
However, a few years back there were students at a rival school that came down to attmept to kill one of our students who had transferred from the rival school. They were stopped (after all, there were numerous repeats beforehand about other people in years past). The only successful attempt was when a stalker kept watch on a senior girl (class of 00), and eventually murdered her four days before spring break began.

That sounds like a win win situation. ;)

A guy at our school commited suicide last year. My best friend and I were sitting down on this bench againt a 5 foot wide post/wall thingy. All of the sudden we heard this big boom and screaming. He shot himself in the head right on the other side of the wall. It was so scary. One of my other friends had just gotten off the bench and was walking towards the other side, when the guy shot himself. She screamed and fainted, and I was just staring at her. A teacher ran past us with a bloody shirt, and told us to stay in the classroom. It was really scary.

murder... not good. :( sorry kman.

anyway, yeah they got the kid who did it. but that school only went up to 9th grade, it was a frosh prank that was not very good.

kman and bly: that is freaking scary. bly: how is that a win win situation

This is a bad idea. If you were all to rush out, what if the bad guy setup trip bombs agasint all the doors? Also, if all the kiddies run out, the bomb man's threat is invalidated, as threatening to blow up the building is nothing compared ot killing people, so he might make a hasty move w/ his trigger finger.

maybe. but we did not if the intruder had a gun or not.

They found a spore of anthrax at my local post office after the anthrax scare back in... 2001? It was shut down and we had to use another local post office for a month or so while they totally cleaned out our post office. It was in the news. You guys prolly saw it.

we had a bomb threat at our school 2 years ago. it was early in the morning as the buses were just arriving so nobody was allowed in the building. we all had to go sit on the bleachers of our football stadium in the freezing cold for like 3 hours. they wouldn't let anybody leave the stadium, even to have their parents come and get them. it was pretty awful.

WOW! You people go to crazy schools! We haven't had any bomb threats in the history of our school (50+ years). The worst thing that happened so far was a kid got sprayed with deodorant in the eye...then again, i do go to a catholic school.

cosine45: that is horrible. did he survive?

wowww kman i'm speechless. that's horrific. did the stalker go2 ur school?

my school's in the middle of the ghetto; 4 years ago, we had a guy with an AK47 who just went crazy; we went under complete lockdown, and we could see bullets holes after the thing ended...they were all over our football field's pressbox. After the deranged lunatic killed two police officers, they finally decided to take him out (I bet it was becuase school was coming to the time where they let out...)
