<p>i know princeton says it only considers parents when looking at legacy status, but there's a girl at my school applying ed whose brother went there. he's not particularly noteworthy other than he does a lot mission work and is some kind of childrens' teacher...im not sure exactly</p>

<p>Certainly it will help a bit. There are many students at Princeton whose siblings are on campus or they are recent graduates. Many of them have parents that are not alumni.
All the elite schools like to admit qualified siblings.</p>
<p>they'll be like "oh" <em>smile</em> <em>cool</em> but the point of legacy is that they bring in lots of moola and giving a boost to their kids keep the $$ coming in. colleges like $$...sad but true</p>
