<p>Could you tell me if my friend, who is a rising senior, could get into the BA/MD 7 year program at UMiami? </p>

<p>GPA: 3.6
SAT: 1440 (math-770/verbal-670) going to retake
Rank: I would estimate top 10%
Race: Indian
School: private, sends many kids to top schools
Courseload: very/most challenging
AP's: Sophomore: AP Bio-4, AP World-4; Junior: AP English-3,4 AP Euro- 3,4 </p>

<p>Senior Schedule:
AP Physics
AP English Lit
AP Gov
AP Calculus AB
AP Human Geography
Chinese 1 Honors (completed Spanish 4 Honors this year) </p>

<p>EC's: I will just list the most important
Model UN - 4 years
VP of Junior Statesmen of America (JSA)
Attending Boys State at the end of June
Interning at 3 different doctor's offices over the summer</p>

<p>His family also knows people on the Board of Trustees at Miami and he was going to apply ED/EA. Also besides Miami what other BA/MD programs would be a good fit for him? Thanks to all who reply!</p>

<p>If his parents have ties I think he has a pretty good shot. Though I wouldn't really recomment BS/MD programs, you can find a pretty good list here: </p>

<p>OrangeGlove, why wouldn't you recommend the BS/MD programs?</p>

<p>Unless you are 100% absolutely committed to being a doctor, BS/MD programs seem to limit you as a student, though that's just my personal opinion.</p>
