Real Reasons for Going to Rice

I wasn’t talking as much about Texas (not) being super-right-wing as I was about it not sucking in general. But Dallas really does suck.

But Dallas’s conjoined twin Fort Worth is awesome. Dallas isn’t so bad!

Dallas? What’s so bad about it? I don’t really understand how one city can suck. Is it really ghettoish there or something? I thought that all cities tend to have their good and bad parts.

I think she’s saying how Dallas is like the stereotypical Texas that everyone hates up North. I think…

As a former Dallas resident, let me say the city has no soul. That’s what people dislike about it. FW has Western charm, Houston has an international flair, San Antonio has the Riverwalk and missions and a wonderful Mexican influence, and Austin is fun and funky.

Youdon’tsay hit it exactly on the head.

I love how everyone assumes that stereotypical texas is awful. What wrong with riding horses, shooting guns, hunting, and driving a pickup truck?
Those things are a helluva a lot more fun than sitting in suburbia talking about left wing political views.

^ AMEN

Guess it’s time to change my location, I’m going to Houston next year!
