Yeah, they are up now...

The roommates were correct the first time, but the hall changed. I was in Spens Black before, now i'm in beverly cleary hall... anyone know about it? Is it significantly further from the main unit 3?.. etc

That’s weird…either my new roommate info isn’t out yet or mine didn’t change at all. Not even the building o_o

I would guess that only some change.

I got placed in a room at Bowles Hall…

But only one roommate is listed? It is my understanding that it is a quad room…

So, why is that?

I think there are 2 rooms and a common area in a quad. Only the roommate in your room gets listed (I THINK).

^They are ■■■■■■■■ and they only list information for your direct roommate, they don’t give you information for the other half of the quad. All room numbers have already been determined, within the next week or two you should be able to see your room number up on BearFacts. At that point, you can go to the Bowles Hall facebook group and find your roommates in the other side room.

Bev Clear is separate from U3. But I like it better than the 4 halls. Not much farther than U3.

apparently my roommate is a sophomore… ( I’m a freshman)

Dunno if i should be sad or excited… haha

O_o okay this is so weird, they say i have a triple in unit three…that means three to a room. but the thing is, I have the roommate info of three other people (not including myself, of course). …is that like a glitch in the system or what?

call them and figure out what is going on. Are you sure you are not in one of those unit quads

yeah I’m sure. my housing contract says for unit 1 triple, and i’m in deutsch hall. um…maybe it’s because they recently offered me a transfer to that room and they haven’t changed all the info around?

That’s weird. Last year, they came out early as well and changed when it got closer to the advertised date. Weirder still, I remember I was in Spens-Black and I got switched to Beverly Cleary as well…

hmmm, iconnu, i asked this on another thread, but about beverly cleary, what is the floorplan like in triple rooms? Are there 4 closets like the rooms in the other halls of unit 3? Are the beds in the same manner, with one lofted bed and one bunk bed? Are the desks similar in position to those in the rooms of the other halls? Also, what is ur take on living in beverly cleary. All help is appreciated. Thanks!

itsawhopper, this was probably an accidental thing, but can you tell us what they said (just so we know)? Ever since the email that asked people to give up their rooms, I’ve been thinking that they’ve assigned people to rooms they don’t have. For example, Stern is overfilled right now and lots of girls don’t even have rooms, and were told they won’t have this problem resolved until like two more weeks.

@wannabestudent: The triples are very spacious. I actually haven’t seen a high-rise triple – only doubles. From what I can gather from the housing website, Cleary triples are more or less the same except for the dimensions. I’m having trouble remembering how many closets there are in a triple…Either two or three. Maybe four? Beats the hell out of me. Uh, as for the floor plan and such: that’s really not a big deal since you’re allowed to move your furniture around as long as you return it to the original configuration by the end of the year. You get one bunk bed, one table, and one lofted bed. Underneath the lofted bed, there’s room for two people to work.

Living at Cleary last year was healthy for me both socially and academically. I had plenty of space to myself when I needed it for studying and whatnot, but I also had lots of interaction with others when I wanted it. The floor plan is in a Z shape, except the hallway is straight, not diagonal. Some people say that it’s hard to go around the corner, but no resident of Cleary feels that way. I had a room that was at the corner, so I especially had no problem. I really appreciated the wide-open hallways and bathrooms at Cleary. I felt a little claustrophobic at the high-rises, but Cleary didn’t have tiny bathrooms and cramped hallways. Overall, I found Cleary to be the typical dorm experience with more comfort.
