Realistic Dual Degree?

I'm still a junior in high school, and I am just thinking out loud here. I have a passion for both business and medicine, so I'm wondering whether or not it will be realistic to get a MBA and MD. I know UM does offer this, but is too much? How long would it take? Whats the course load like? Anyone know somebody doing this personally? Or would it be more reasonable to do a double major in administrative business and a biological science?

You’re a junior in high school. Think about undergrad first, not your masters! As for a BBA and a BS dual degree from Michigan, it is tough to fit it into four years although most do. If you take a summer class or two youll be fine. Otherwise, 5 years and you’ll be light on the workload and done. A double major, however, it’s very easy to finish in 4 years. I say go for the BBA and BS (or BA). If you think you can get into Ross pre-admit, then do it.

** My friend is doing a Ross Business and Informatics dual-degree

Thanks for the info. I should be coming into UM with around 50-60 credits at least from AP/Duel Enrollment, so yah that should help.

… if you get into umich

Yah, that too.

I think i should be pretty solid though.

3.98 UW GPA (7 out of 708)
All honors and probably like 10+ APs
30 on ACT (pretty sure i can bring it up because i got all the time in the world)
Several clubs

Not in-depth at all, but do my chances seem fair?

…

big change in a short time

lol that was my brother :p

yah he is a senior.

Focus on getting into undergrad first. Then focus on getting into medical school. Then focus on getting into something like this lol [Dual Degrees - Stephen M. Ross School of Business](http://www.bus.umich.edu/Academics/SpecialPrograms/DualDegrees/Medicine-MD.htm)

A dual degree between LSA and any other college is possible. So LSA and Music, LSA and Business and LSA and Engineering is very manageable. However, double majors between Engineering and Business or Music and Engineering is much tougher to manage.

thanks all!
