well, if you use ridiculously out-of-place words in the sentences you type HERE (of all places) on collegeconfidential, i can only imagine what your essays or other formal writing pieces read like!

What were ur sat scores??

Tennisfreak23, worry about SAT scores when the time comes, you're still at an age where playing outside is much more beneficial to your well-being than worrying about standardized test scores.

This place is named College Confidential for a reason.

yeah, tennisfreak, get a life when you still can. In a couple of years, you'll be too bogged down. Believe me.

SAT I: 2160
SAT II Chemistry: 780
SAT II Math Level 2: 790
ACT: 34

i took SAT I only once a long time ago when my CR skills were shoddy (and i was careless on math), so that explains my low score. i took it the second time on 11/04/06, and i am expecting 2250+.

Is 2160 a low score? c'mon!

Good Job Mech

aww leave tennisfreak alone. you should laud his aspirations to do well at this young age. i remember myself in 7th grade >.< i could have cared less about school, lol.

but i do agree w/ everyone else, tennisfreak, you should just enjoy life right now and worry about SATs atleast 3 years from now...

EDIT: ok nevermind what i said, i just saw his other posts >.<

2160 is only an average score among my genius friends. :(

I think Tennis is on the verge of being a pest.

I'm sorry. He ruined my thread and countless others.

He's in 7th grade!!!

Glucose - have you prepped? I went up from a 1920 to a 2070 after I sat down and really took the time to prepare. The most important thing is to practice, practice, practice; in addition to your knowledge, the SAT tests your test-taking skills.

Also, have you considered the ACT? In my opinion, it's a lot more straightforward than the SAT. No hurt in trying it out!

Sleep seemed to be a big factor for me as well. I had 12 hours of sleep before my second try at the ACT and went up 4 composite points. Good luck! :)

haha, I think glucose has definitely prepared. Post count on here is directly proportional to time spent stressing/prepping for the SAT.

I think its reasonable to shoot for 2100 (dont know about 2200)

mine was:
182 PSAT
202 PSAT
1950 SAT
1980 SAT
2190 SAT

honestly i dont know why my score jumped that much from the april to the october SAT because i really did not prep that much although i did keep telling myself i would. All i did was look over the math section in the grammatix book (just read over it, did no actual practice) and my score improved 90 points. my verbal also went up 50 points (i got a 700) and ive never ever gotten above a 650 on any practice, or real psat/sat. i dont know what happened. All i know is that i was much more relaxed, went in with the mental mode that it was going to be a piece of cake and through the test i kept on reminding myself how easy this was, because the past two times i had been REALLY nervous and kept on messing up by making stupid mistakes.

so my advice is, prep all you want but try to be relaxed while you are taking the SAT. its not easy, i know, but if you can get yourself relaxed i think you will do much better.

^ I think that's important advise: "i kept on reminding myself how easy this was"

I guess it's time for my individual score goals:

W690/12--->W750? Realistic?
M710--->M750? Realistic?
CR600--->CR700? Realitic?

I've been doing a lot of CR. I've been missing like 4 per section, which is close to a 700, maybe? =]

Thanks guys!

most likely your cumulative score will jump up around 100 pts...that's usually the range after you study for most people

is 200 like too many points?

however, it is possible you can be the exception =D

^_^ I hope so.
