usc is in a really dangerous place, aside from being in CA which is one big mess!

^^ oh pulleeeeze… USC is not any more “dangerous” than the U of Chicago or Yale!

Chicago and Yale border on dangerous areas.

Be aware that USC is still pretty expensive with a half tuition scholarship – check the net price calculator for need-based aid and check for additional scholarships that you may have a chance of, and include that in your reach/match/safety assessment (i.e. if you need the merit scholarships, reach/match/safety should be based on the merit scholarships, not admission).

Might look at Holy Cross very good pre-med program, nice campus(1 hour from Boston), and very good financial aid. HC is a smaller version of ND.

I’ll definitely look into IUPUI! The honors college suggestion is a great avenue to explore.

My only hesitation about IU is the School of Music. Jacobs is one of the best, and it would be hard for me to explore my musical interests without being a music major.

Thanks for all the other excellent suggestions! Holy Cross, Haverford, and USC all sound promising. I really appreciate the replies and will be researching each of them.

Also, noimagination, thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely be getting on that application ASAP.

USC also has Honors programs in both Science[ Freshman Science Honors] and the Humanities[ Thematic Options] . Small classes taught by the best profs at USC. They are open by invitation only to top students, so dont delay responding if you are asked to participate.

USC also offers UG’s many numerous funded research opportunities, both during the regular school year and during the Summer.
