Realistically? Chances of getting into Princeton, Cornell, or Yale

I have a 3.7 unweighted and 31 ACT score. National Honor Society, Spanish honor society, math honor society, academic peer partners, newspaper editor, and one year of basketball. Interested in either chemistry or chemical engineering.

@scaredjunio342 - Those scores are pedestrian for any of the Ivy League schools, and you will have lots of competitors with those same stats. So, unless you have a big hook - URM, athlete who will compete for the school or some other amazing or unique quality, I think you will be denied at all of those schools. Not silly to apply to them, but very low chance of admittance. Cornell is best chance of the three, but again, slim chance for all of them. I would choose some safeties.

Not gonna doubt that you’re this kid(http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1738034-chance-me-harvard.html#latest) but really you’re not a top applicant so I’d put your admission chance at around the universities normal. 5-10%. Not to say you have no chance but you’re just an average applicant and if you want to have amazing chances you’d need to work a bit more!
