really annoying I know..but chances please?

Alright I'm going to start out by saying that I pretty much think I have a TINY chance of getting into Wesleyan but I LOVE the school - everything I've read about it has made me want to go there, more than any other school I've looked at, but I'm worried that my GPA is way too low to be accepted. But anyway, here it all is:

GPA: 3.5 (unweighted, school doesn't do weighted GPAS)

courses:
Freshman year:
Biology:A-/B+
English: A/A
Spanish II: B+/A-
Algebra II: A-/A-
Social Studies : A/B+
Art: A
Interior Design : A
Gym: A/A-

Sophomore year:
(this is where it goes downhill)
English : A/B+
Drama: A
Spanish III: B/B
FST (higher level math class) : C+/C
Chemistry: B/B-
Social Studies: A/A
Health: A

Junior year (so far, this is what I THINK I'll have for semester)
Advanced Composition : A
PDM (next higher level math class): C+
AP Psychology : A-
Spanish IV: B+ or A-
Art: A
Honors Physics : B+ or A- hopefully
Advanced Biology: B+ hopefully

I'm dropping advanced biology for second semester, I couldn't handle that many classes in my schedule - mostly because I'm really not a science/math person if you can see from my grades. I do try really hard in math - I go in for help two or three times a week but once I got past Algebra II I just started really not understanding math. Senior year I plan to take A.P. English, A.P. European History, A.P. Environmental studies, Spanish V, Advanced Art, and some other art classes.

Now for the not so sucky part of me lol...
ACT score: 34
Extracurricular activities:
Drama club: about 12 hours a week, all school weeks per year, grades 9-12, leadership position 11 and hopefully 12
Model UN, NHS, Art club, stage crew

Work two jobs - camp counselor in the summer, invited to riding instructor in training program and completed w/ honors, now I'm a counselor and work all summer, also work there probably 16ish weekends out of the school year (all weekend so like 20 hours) also hostess at TGI Friday's.

Volunteer work - volunteer w/ AIDS Network and NARAL pro-choice Wisconsin.

I've been taking horseback riding lessons for 7 years, I do a lot of art on my own time, I'm an avid reader..yeah I think that's pretty much it.

So is it hopeless for me to apply? Or should I at least try? (hey that rhymed!)

Oh also questions -
Will it hurt me that I dropped advanced biology?
I'm not planning on taking calculus senior year (math is hard enough for me as it is, I don't think I could take calculus in high school with any hope of a grade better than a D) will that significantly hurt my chances?

Thanks so much!

You definitely should apply, you have a good record and some passions that are evident in your post. Keep your grades up this spring and in the fall, and pursue the EC's that really grab you. Then make your personality and talent come through in your application package. Wes is a great place precisely because there's no mathematical formula for who will make the perfect addition to campus. Good luck!

try AP Stats as your senior math class! It's math, but much much different than any math class you've ever tried. Colleges like/ highly recommend 4 years of math in high school... i wouldn't skip math, maybe drop an art class or science (if you already have 3 lab sciences).
