Really Concerned - Please Help

My counselor uploaded my IB predicted marks along with my transcript onto the Common App a while back. When he showed me the predicted marks he uploaded, I realized that he had uploaded my marks from back in October. I had a 35 then which is very low for the schools I'm applying to (mostly Ivies). However, my predicted marks have gone up quite a bit since then. I told him that and he told me not to worry because he will upload my updated predicted marks at the beginning of February (the optional year report/mid-year report). I felt better about it but now I'm starting to worry again. I'm concerned that colleges will review my application before February, feel that I don't meet the academic threshold, and chuck my application out without giving me a chance to submit my updated marks.

My updated predicted mark will probably be 37/38 which makes a pretty significant difference for Ivies. I know in many IB schools, getting above 40 is customary but at my school, high-30's is considered pretty good. My counselor has also indicated that I'm at the top 2-5% in terms of rank. I go to a pretty competitive IB school (people from all over my area apply for the IB program and only some get in). I understand that some people believe that IB predicted marks really don't hold that much weight during the application process but I'm not sure if that's true. Can anyone comment on this?

Just some other background information - my GPA is 3.8 UW (I've taken the most rigorous course load for all four years and been to three different high schools, two of which were very competitive) and I got 2250 on my SAT and 33 on my ACT.

My EC's are pretty decent as well. I founded a non-profit organization that has now gone international. I'm organizing one of the largest MUN conferences in my country (hundreds of delegates every year). EIC of school newspaper, and other EC's that hopefully demonstrate my passion of international relations and social justice.

Please let me know if there's anything I can/should do... or if I should just hope for the best that they won't throw my app out before giving me a chance to submit my new predicted marks :/

Thanks in advance.

Honestly, I don’t think the norm is 40 and above at the Ivies. 40 and above is very difficult to achieve. You seem to be on the right track, though.
