Really confused... Plz plz plz help...='(

about the teacher’s recommendations. i’m thinking about asking either my esl teacher my maths (honors) teacher. both of them have known me for more than 2 yrs. i was just wondering which one is the better one to ask?

about TOEFL. some of the schools i’m applying to need the TOEFL score. but i was trying to register online and then figured out that the most recent test date with available seats is november 20. but one of my early action deadline’s on november 1, and the other one is on december 1. the lady in career center told us to put score is in process and it would be fine, but she’s not really sure either. so am i in really big trouble or not?

waiting for the answers…

It's better to get the recommendation from the regular teacher than from the esl one--although there is nothing wrong with having them both give you a good rec., and yes, it's find to put the "score is in progress". They will get to your application when they receive the score.

thx calcruzer.

well, but what if my esl teacher knows me better? and she sees my development thru all these years. like, i was in esl for a yr on the 10th grade, and took honors english last yr and i'm taking ap lit now. so it's like much more progress than i have in maths. so what u think i should do? any suggestions? and btw i'm green card status, so i'm not considered as international student right? the TOEFL's standard's so confusing...

Maybe you could try sending in both rec's? Do the colleges that you're applying to discourage extra material?

hmmm yeah that's a good idea...=/
maybe i'll ask for both...

but i have a new question...
do i necessarily have to take TOEFL?
some of my friends told me they didn't take it...
and they thought it's for international students w/o green cards only?
