Really confused with what to major in

Hello,

I am new to this site like just joined ten minutes back.

I just graduated from High School like a week back (June 2 2014) and now I am really confused in what should I major in.

I love Computers. I do a bit of HTML, PHP, CSS and stuff. I thought "Computer Science" was the one for me but I am really bad at Math. So, thought of doing Information Technology. I've used stuff like cPanel to create databases and really love the web stuff (my website <a href="http://www.grahammiranda.com">http://www.grahammiranda.com</a> ).

I don't really know but is iOS app development a part of Information Technology or Computer Science?

Could someone please please please help me in what exactly should I major in?

Thank you,
Graham miranda

You’ll need to talk to the advisors at your college to see where they place that.

You usually don’t decide your major until your second year of college. its ok that you don’t know

It sounds like you are looking at Web Development, though few schools offer majors in that.

Computer Science, while it can be math heavy educationally, is more coding with mathematical applications. It is not nearly the same as pure math practically speaking, and you don’t have to be a math genius at all.

Information Science / Tech is more for people who will work with code, but do much less creation / design and more data management, IT, etc. I don’t think this is what you are looking for.

I think Web Development is rare but ideal, and CS will be closer to what you want than IS. Just stay away from Web Design and make sure that whatever you major in, you direct your courses towards Web Development.
