Really confused!

Ok someone help me out here in my scheduling for next year

I originally signed up for AP Physics next year but wasn't really sure. So, I promised myself that I'll take it only if I get atleast an A- for my final grade (esp. since my friends were scaring me telling that I'm going to die). Now, I just found out that due to my horrific performance on my final exams, I am ending up with a B+. Should I still take AP Physics or should I take AP Chem instead? But when its really wierd because even in Chem I got a B+ for my final grade...so its kind of all the same. I just don't want to be stupidest kid in my class and manage atleast a B+ in it. I just can't decide..aahhh..someone help!

Getting the worst grades won't make you the stupidest kid in the class. I always got the best grades in my history class, but I liked to argue with the teacher, which was fun, though sometimes made me look stupid.

I guess so but its not just about grades I'm talking about its also ability. I'm afraid that I don't have the ability to do well and meet my own expectations.

i understand your anxiety. i cannot figure out if i want to major in chem or physics (i have to decide beginning of freshmen year, to get requirements in). i took honrs chem (sophomore hs), and honors physics (junior hs) and AP chem (senior hs). i really liked physics, but im not sure if my math is strong enough to take college physics (fast paced, etc).

anyways back to you. i wouldnt worry about which class you will get a better grade in. take the class that you will LIKE the best. i wouldve taken ap physics senior year, if my school offered it, because i like that honors class better. sounds like youve taken both a chem and a physics course, which did you like more (you got the same grades)? i would say if you got the same grades in both of those, you would get similar grades in the ap courses too.

Thanks that really helps. I even talked to my Physics teacher and even he told me not to worry about grades but he said I'll have to work like a dog...yeah I know..he is definitly very comforting cough.
I think I'm going to stick with AP Physics since I want to take it so much.

I'm doing AP Chem, Enviro, and Physics junior year, and bio and pysics senior year.

I hate grades. Grades only show how well you fit into the prescribed mold of your particluarl high school. Repeat that sentence 100 times every time you do bad and feel depressed.

^^ That dude is right.

AP Chem's a killer. At least at my school, it was easy to get a B+, but impossible to get an A- or A.

AP Physics C is a killer too.

AP Physics B is considered a blowoff at my school (it's a math and science academy, that's why). At any school, it isn't that bad.

But you should really take whatever you actually want to take. If physics is your thing, do physics.
