I had a part time business selling jewelry I've made on Etsy.com and Livejournal. Lol...

I was a zookeeper in Haifa, Israel.

My D has a couple of neat ones. Professional model and actress, all-state chorus, captain of step team. But the coolest one might be making chemistry music videos for sale to chem teachers all over nj. I think that's an unusual one. Although zookeeper in Haifa rates much higher on the unusual scale!

:)

I haven't done it, but I know that a few kids in my class are competitive fencers. I remember one girl named "Jane" in my lit class encouraged her friend "Becky" to try fencing. A year later, "Becky" was invited to Junior Olympics for fencing. They both do fencing together and are practically best friends. It looks really cool.

My ex's friend is fencing for Penn.

chinese yoyo + tricking combination :)

currently trying to work bboying into but i don't see how it can work out...

I'd say pro go-kart racing would be an incredible E.C. to have. I wanted to get stated in go karting in like 9th grade, but it was just way too expensive in my country. ( think upwards of $8000 a year on racing fees, tires, engine maintance etc, plus an initial $6000 for the kart and racing equipment).

I have several online businesses going. It's pretty much to support myself, considering that I my family income is < $40k.

If you need an online business content management system, I can set you up for a flat rate of $100. I have 2 years of PHP experience, XHTML, CSS, Java, and C++. I can design a fully functional MySQL driven website with a very easy to operate management system.

procrastinate- wow it is pretty cool that you managed to get a pretty influential guy. :-) i'll be there in july working with steve pearce. i'm living at marymount university

lol i still dont get all these "businesses". what kind of profitable businesses can teenagers run

A kid in my class ran a website that was similar to eBay.

Currently, my most interesting/unusual EC is primitive technology... like making fire with two sticks and rope from grass. Tons of fun, very useful, and surprisingly, applicable to daily life. It gives you a whole new method of solving problems.

Come January though, that will change! I'm going to the freaking Netherlands for a MUN Conference!! I just got accepted today!! I'M SO EXCITED!

pro ping pong

well my friend designs amazing jewelry so by all rights she should be "running her own business", but a lot of businesses obviously go without formal offices, phone numbers or even licenses.

There's plenty of business you can run. In my case, necessity drove me to make it work. Age isn't a factor.
