Really could use some advice (subject to dismissal)

So, the story;
I am (as my misspelled username indicates) a sophomore at UCLA. Fall quarter of 2012 I received a C+, C and C-. In all honesty, I slacked off that quarter. Unfortunately, the C- was weighted with 5 units and the other 2 grades were only 4, so I was placed on academic probation. I did not realize the difference in weighting and thus was unaware that I was on probation (my fault, I know). My parents (who receive all my UCLA related mail) were sent the notice and neglected to open and read it (and inform me) until MID 8TH WEEK of this last quarter, that is, winter 2013. I was already dealing with depression and struggling in my classes, working hard, but still struggling. This information kind of sent me into a downward spiral. To make a long story short, I have thus far received a C- and C+. I am still waiting on my third grade, but there is about a 50/50 chance that it will end up lower than a C. I am still hoping with all my heart that it is a C, but still. less than a C means I will become subject to dismissal. My GPA coming into sophomore year was a 3.4, then coming into winter quarter it was a 3.1 My questions are;

Does subject to dismissal mean I WILL be dismissed, or will I be allowed to continue my studies with given conditions? I have googled this, and all that comes up is what GPA and circumstances that will put you on probation and STD. The STD description says you will be given conditions you have to meet, but I have also heard of students being dismissed immediately.

If I am dismissed, what are my options? (is a private university an option? is readmission to UCLA an option?)

Thank you for any help you can give.

If I recall you’re only subject to dismissal if your cumulative GPA drops down to 1.5< in one term. Were you already placed on Academic probation before this? Either way if your under STD all I can recall is you can’t take Pass/No Pass option classes and also that you should really hit the books as this is how people turn to college dropouts.

Talk to a freaking academic counselor already.

I have a friend who was subject to dismissal one quarter, and she wasn’t kicked out. I don’t know the specifics, but I don’t think getting an STD will have you kicked out immediately. Yes, go talk to an academic counselor to get these questions answered. Don’t they email you about this stuff? Change your mailing address to one where you can receive the mail, or make you parents open mail earlier.

I was on campus a few days ago and noticed a sign for an organization that might help you: SPEAR. Their message was aimed at kids with STD notices and I think they are there to help you get through this.
