I am really upset with my act score. I got a composite score of 20. I did not study much at all besides to a few questions and study a few strategies. I wanted to take it once just to see what it was like then retake it experienced but once I left the test center, I felt pretty good. My goal was a 31 at first but now I see it is virtually impossible. I need at least a 28. I know people don't raise their scores by more than 2-4 but I didn't really prepare. If I study really hard and take a class do you think it is possible to get a 26+? I'm a senior so I have like 2 chances left.

Do you have any prep books? If not buy them because they’re definitely useful. If you decide to take a class make sure you stay dedicated and work hard. On weekends try going to a local library to study free of distractions I found that helped me a lot.

Disappointed? Gyal, you didn’t even study. Buckle down, take practice tests, etc, and you’ll be fine.

one of the best ways to improve your score is determination and commitment. my first time taking the ACT I got a 16. I was completely dissappointed and I told my self that I would not accept that. so I took it in june and raised it to a 21. still was not satisfied so I studied more and with determination I got a 24. 24 is my minimum I want, but I was better, so in december I will be taking it again for hopefully a 27. so with determination you can do it just as I did. 8 points so far, hoping for more. What I used to study was Kaplan online prep. it is expensive but it is helpful. if time is your issue like it is mine, the only thing you can do is practice. In fact I took an ACT practice without timing myself and just getting through it and I pulled off a 30. Just look into it :)

I think it is possible. The first time I took the ACT’s I got a 23… but after a bit of studying, I raised it 4 points to a 27. I’m pretty sure you can reach your goal if you’re willing to study :D
