Are there any colleges that let you apply in July? And if so, which ones are they?

I was wondering this too. I’ve tested, and now I have some free time because it’s summer. As soon as school starts everything gets crazy so it’d be nice to get applications out of the way if possible.

Same idea. First semester IB student at my school is going to be incredibly hectic. :/

Start the Common App! Seems to be what all the 2010 CCers are up to at the moment.

http://commonapp.org

You can start the CommonApp. I suppose all those schools that take JUST the Common App and no supplement will accept it whenever. The earliest I applied to any school was September.

ermm…Marietta college lets you
so does carthage

Haha, like others have mentioned, the common application is available to fill that empty time. Don’t forget that many colleges have already posted their supplements online, so there are no excuses for getting started!!

Happykid got a postcard from Longwood U in Virginia offering “instant decisions” for students who apply on line and then visit the campus this summer with copies of their current transcript and test scores. If you like that place, you could be done by the end of this month.

Lots of community colleges will let you get your paperwork out of the way right now, and so will some 4-year places with rolling admissions.

Yeah, only one I know of is Marietta. Since they mailed me an application, I am seriously considering filling it out and sending it back.

It would be nice to get the application out of the way before senior year kicks in. This summer will be spent on completing or revising the common application, resume and supplements as well as revisiting the essay. I want to have everything done and in place to go before school starts so the only thing left to do would be follow up college visits. Good luck everyone!

Any place with rolling admissions will accept whenever. For the others, even if they don’t accept this summer you can still do the app and set it aside until the deadline, you will be ahead of everyone else that’s for sure.

Yes you can start applying to many universities related with common application.
I also think University of Minnesota- Twin Cities application will be open sometime in July.
Oh wait it is open today, I will start on it.

I’ve already applied to one school, King’s College in NYC.

Sweet. I was looking into Twin Cities, actually :D

U of Alabama, U of Central Florida, & U of South Florida
