Really important common app. question!

<p>Hi! Okay, I applied early action to six schools, one of which was Emerson College. Today, I checked online and I saw that my common app. was received on November 2. My problem? The deadline was November 1. I don't know if I am still considered early action, because I did submit on November 1. Is this November 2 date just an indication of when they actually opened my application?</p>

<p>I guess the real question is, if you are using an online application, can you still submit it online the day of the deadline?</p>

<p>The Common App is in Eastern Time so when it says that it may be past deadline, it may not actually be.</p>

<p>Emerson College is also in Eastern time (it's in Boston).</p>

<p>Call Emerson and ask. The worst that can happen is you'll be placed in the regular decision pool.</p>

<p>My D had the same situation, sent the common app on Nov 1 and it looks like Nov 2 on line. She called and was being considered for EA.</p>

<p>If it says "downloaded" 11/2 then you're fine. I submitted my application one day, and it was downloaded the next. The day you submitted it is the one for the deadline.</p>
