This has been bothering me for awhile. My second teacher recommendation arrived there REALLY late: mid-March, to be exact. My teacher sent it several times but for some reason or another, it has always gotten lost or jumbled. I'm not familiar with Princeton's admissions process--would I still have a chance? Or has my application already been tossed to the "reject" pile without the 2nd recommendation?

usually they dont look at it until it is complete i think, but im not sure when they start to look at all the applications what the process is.

did the school contact you? or you contact the school?

If Princeton was aware of the problem, I suspect that they looked at your application without the second rec. Isn’t that what you’d do if you were Princeton? It would be silly of them to reject an applicant for such a reason.

Thanks you two. I suppose what I really meant to say was if Princeton would make a decision without considering the second recommendation if it were late in the game. And whether, when the second recommendation arrives, the additional input would be used to re-evaluate the application.

Visionquest, I emailed Princeton about this issue.

they answered all my question within a day…good luck with situation and best of luck with admissions decisions

I didn’t ask Pton this question–it’s just something I was worrying about. I emailed them to see whether or not they’ve received my items ^^

Thank you Visionquest! I wish you the best as well.
