REALLY low gpa but high... ish sat and act.

yes, i was lazy. and i am junior, and am going to try and WILL get straight a's for the rest of highschool, but here is my current GPA. yes, its terrible.

2.5

and my SATS
2010 (I don't remember the exact score for each, i am on the road and my records are at home)

and my ACTs

32

all my standardized tests (for the state) have been in the 99th percentile.... but my GPA sucks because i have been lazy as all hell.

is there any school that would accept me?

or am i cursed to going to community college and then transferring out when i get good enough grades?

(and the grammar in this post is terrible because i have yet to sleep in 47 hours. I have been writing an essay)

Well, if there's a logical excuse, I suppose you could TRY to tell them about it in your essay...or if you have a convincing extracurricular.

I think going to a community college and then transferring out is the same thing; it's cheaper too.

either that or there are state schools who might accept you if your other stuff is really good.

all i can say is that you should write a hell of an essay and make sure one of your recs say that you are hardworking.

oh, i am RELYING on my second run of SAT scores, and SAT II, and then my Essay. I am depending on them.

OH WAIT! CORRECTION!

My unweighted gpa is ACTUALLY 3.0 ish.....

still ****. but... slightly better than a 2.5

.... There is a complete difference between a 3.0 and a 2.5 GPA. You can definitely get into SOME college with a 3.0. A 2.5 means you barely tried and got mostly C's.

You can probably get into your state flagship with those scores, unless your state is California, Virginia, or Michigan. Your GPA isn't horrendous or anything. It's a B average, which is okay.

A rising trend looks good so I think you're on the right track by focusing on your junior year grades.

i got into BRANDEIS UNIVERSITY EARLY DECISION!

Congratulations!!!
