Really Major Question (for me at least)!

Do colleges only factor in your senior grades, is in factor them in to your overall GPA if you apply in January? (When your semester is up). Is this the advantage of applying Regular admission if you think you can do really well your senior year?

My senior schedule consists of 5 APs and 1 honors. If I apply in January to a school will that be the only way the school will factor in the APs and honors into my weighted GPA?

If I apply EA or by like Dec 1 the schools will just look at my senior schedule, correct? But they will appreciate the APs I am taking, right?

Thanks in advance!

People apply RD over ED/EA just to do what you're thinking. Hopefully that 1st semester Sr year performance enhances the entire app. Good luck to you.

thank you.

you would need to apply in January to do this, correct?

good question. most of my apps are due 1/15, and my semester ends 1/31. so would colleges still see my first semester grades?

Most schools will ask for grades as of the application date and midterm grades as well.

if you apply Dec 1 will they see your grades up to then in your senior year classes?

this question is also really important to me. i'm taking 7 AP classes this year whereas last year i took 2 (both of which i got 5s on). i have an unweighted 4.0 right now, is it better or neccessary to wait until regular decisions or will colleges assume with my track record i will also do just as well senior year?

If you apply EA/ED, many colleges will ask for a mid-semester update. My D's HS has semester grades, but they will also show unofficial quarter grades. When applied ED, her college counselor sent in her mid-semester grades in Nov.
